Sonova, InBody, Bang & Olufsen among 58 apps removed by Chinese regulator

( August 21, 2025, 09:10 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Apps developed by Swiss hearing care group Sonova, South Korean body composition device maker InBody, Danish electronics brand Bang & Olufsen, US electronic test provider Fluke Connect and Sweden's air purifier maker Blueair were among 58 apps removed by Shanghai's telecom regulator from domestic mainstream application stores for failing to fix user-rights violations. They were among 162 apps flagged in July for infringing on users' personal data rights, the Shanghai Communications Administration said. The authority said it will continue to monitor the companies and may impose further measures, such as suspending network access, levying administrative penalties, or placing them on the telecommunications business misconduct list.  The statement follows and the list is attached:...
