Beijing companies fined for anti-fraud, real-name registration violations

( July 31, 2025, 06:04 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Six companies in Beijing have been fined by the Beijing Communications Administration for failing to enforce anti-fraud and real-name registration measures, according to penalty decisions released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Beijing Gome Electrical Appliance and Beijing Bewinner Communications Company were fined 200,000 yuan ($28,000) and 50,000 yuan, respectively, for failing to comply with phone card real-name registration rules under the Cybersecurity Law. Four other companies were fined between 50,000 and 1 million yuan for breaching the Anti-Telecom and Online Fraud Law, including failing to monitor and address fraud-related activities and implement real-identity registration systems for phone users.The statement follows and the penalty decision is attached:...
