EU quantum strategy welcomed; experts warn of collaboration challenges

While the proposed 2026 Quantum Act is expected to support industrial scale-up and coordination, experts warn that fragmentation, uneven national efforts and limited private investment might still pose challenges to the bloc’s long-term goals.In July, the European Commission unveiled its plan to make the EU a quantum leader by 2030, including a proposed Quantum Act in 2026 (see here and here). It also called on member states to adopt post-quantum cryptography by 2026 and secure key infrastructure by 2030 (see here)....
