Profiling tools in online safety must balance privacy risks, UK guidance says

The UK regulator clarified how data protection law and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations still apply to profiling tools used in trust and safety systems. The new guidance is part of a commitment by the ICO and media watchdog Ofcom to ensure regulatory coherence between the data protection and online safety regimes.Statement follows.
