Australia's Qantas confirms exposed data limited to basic information

( July 9, 2025, 02:49 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Australian airline Qantas has confirmed that most customer records compromised in last week's data breach were limited to names, email addresses, and/or Frequent Flyer numbers. In an update on its website, Qantas said that it has made progress in its forensic analysis of the customer data in the third-party system that was compromised, exposing data of six million customers. The airline said that there’s no evidence that any stolen data has been released anywhere.
