NetChoice sues Arkansas to stop social media law

( June 27, 2025, 23:43 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The tech trade association NetChoice is suing Arkansas to halt its Act 901 from going into effect. The law passed earlier this year would allow parents of children who died by suicide to sue social media companies that allegedly played a role in their child's death. The law also seeks to implement age-verification requirements that are already subject to an injunction under a prior lawsuit, NetChoice says. The new additions to the law are unconstitutional and go against companies' First Amendment rights, NetChoice said.Official statement below. See attached complaint....
