Telegram risks penalty proceedings if Australian regulator wins lawsuit

In a Federal Court of Australia hearing, lawyer Philip Solomon, acting for the Australian eSafety Commissioner, indicated that the regulator would be prepared to hit Telegram with a lawsuit, after the company challenged the regulator over a March 2024 reporting notice.
