Online discussion board 4chan, other services in UK face online safety probes

( June 10, 2025, 08:43 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Online discussion board 4chan and seven other file-sharing services are under investigation for allegedly failing to put appropriate safety measures in place to protect UK users from illegal content and activity, the UK online safety regulator Ofcom announced today. They also haven't responded to statutory information requests from Ofcom, which they are required to do under the UK's Online Safety Act. The regulator also opened an investigation into pornography provider First Time Videos. Statement follows....
