Malaysia's Digital Ministry to release data digitalization policy

Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo today said the policy will emphasize the importance of digitizing data in service delivery, covering aspects such as data quality governance, data security ethics and the use of data storage technologies at all levels. He added that the ministry is also promoting the use of data and the adoption of digital technologies — including artificial intelligence and 5G — nationwide, with a focus on the Digital Twin initiative, a virtual city model that enables real-time simulations using shared data across sectors for more effective urban planning and faster emergency response.
