GM moves to dismiss Indiana AG's privacy lawsuit over data sharing

( June 2, 2025, 19:50 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: General Motors and its subsidiary OnStar filed a motion to dismiss Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita's lawsuit accusing the automaker of sharing vehicle telematics with data brokers, which use the information to sell risk profiles to insurance companies. GM argues that the lawsuit is preempted by the Fair Credit Reporting Act and that the AG's complaint does not allege any false statements or attempts to defraud consumers.See attached filing....
