Amazon gets US claims in data sharing case dismissed

( May 30, 2025, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Plaintiffs accusing Amazon of sharing users’ viewing history without consent have failed to move the needle with their amended claims from “mere possibility” that Amazon affirmatively disclosed their information to plausibility, a federal judge ruled. District Judge James L. Robart granted a motion to dismiss, saying that plaintiffs’ third amended complaint again falls short of plausibly alleging that Amazon Services actually disclosed plaintiffs’ data to its affiliates.
