Australia’s Bunnings cites safety threat in facial-recognition consent case

In documents filed in November 2025 with the Administrative Review Tribunal, obtained by MLex under freedom of information laws, Bunnings argued that it didn’t breach Australian privacy laws when collecting facial recognition data without consent, citing exemptions under the 1988 Privacy Act.
