Privacy class actions challenging the broad collection of geolocation data tied to app use and other personal information are proceeding against Amazon in Washington, against Allstate in Illinois, and against data-analytics company Amplitude in California.Surveillance pricing is under scrutiny by the US Federal Trade Commission, with lawmakers in California and elsewhere also stepping in.
