South Korea's SK Telecom apologizes for data breach, admits missing reporting deadline

He said that a subsequent data leak discovered on April 19 was reported within the required timeframes as part of their customer-protection efforts. Ryu detailed the company's security response, including a network-based Fraud Detection System to block illegal SIM cloning attempts, a free USIM Protection Service already protecting over 10 million users and complimentary USIM replacements.
