New Zealand regulator consults on guidance for privacy-law changes

( April 30, 2025, 03:35 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: New Zealand organizations will have access to compliance guidance as soon as the privacy amendment bill passes, the regulator has said. In a statement, New Zealand’s Office of the Privacy Commissioner announced the release of draft guidance for consultation. The regulator said it aims to develop and publish the guidance “to allow organizations plenty of time to implement the requirements” of the amended Privacy Act. The 2023 Privacy Amendment Bill has yet to be passed by parliament.
