South Korea privacy regulator vows further support for AI startups

Ko Hak-soo, chairperson of the Personal Information Protection Commission, made the remarks during a scheduled meeting with representatives from domestic AI startups. Meanwhile, he also acknowledged the importance of managing the personal information-related risks associated with open-source-based AI models. He promised to further clarify the data processing standards and requirements so that companies can utilize more user information to develop and improve AI services.
