Facebook shareholder plaintiffs say they'll be ready for US trial in early 2027

( February 26, 2025, 22:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Facebook and plaintiffs suing on behalf of shareholders who lost stock value after the Cambridge Analytica privacy breach in 2018, told a California federal judge that they can be ready to go to trial in early 2027. "Plaintiffs intend to propose a schedule contemplating fact discovery completed within 10 months of the date of submission, expert discovery completed within 14 months thereof, and the action ready for trial to start by February 2027. Defendants are assessing Plaintiffs’ proposed schedule, but note it will need to be adjusted to allow for any decision on a Rule 12(c) motion to be issued sufficiently before briefing on class certification," the plaintiffs said in a joint submission to US District Judge Edward Davila.
