Línea Directa fined in Spain for unauthorized data access

( February 4, 2025, 15:08 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Insurance company Línea Directa Aseguradora has been fined 300,000 euros by the Spanish data protection authority, for unlawfully accessing a customer’s driving license points without consent. The insurer’s agent and data processor company, Majorel, had retrieved the data via Spain’s traffic authority website using an unauthorized e-mail.
