Washington AG sues T-Mobile over 2021 data breach that exposed personal information

( January 6, 2025, 20:13 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: T-Mobile's lax cybersecurity practices in the lead up to a massive data breach in August 2021  exposed the personal information of more than 2 million residents, including their social security numbers and driver’s license information, according to a new lawsuit filed by Attorney General Robert Ferguson in King County Superior Court. "For years prior to the August Breach, T-Mobile inadequately implemented its cyber security policies and procedures. T-Mobile knew of the risks from cyber-attacks and decided to accept the risks rather than adequately implement safeguards."See attached lawsuit....
