Artificial intelligence - Anthropic - Shakespeare - Writers' copyright litigation over use of pirated works (US)

Roughly 100 authors who opted out of Anthropic's historic $1.5 billion class action settlement with book authors have filed a separate lawsuit in federal court against the artificial intelligence company for allegedly downloading and exploiting their works from library websites known to consist of pirated works using BitTorrent, a file sharing technology.
