Antitrust - IMG - Italy’s Serie A football league - Media rights bid-rigging (EU)

The Italian Competition Authority fined IMG, along with media-rights distributors B4 Capital and MP & Silva, €67 million in 2019 for coordinating their bids on the international rights to broadcast Italy’s Serie A and Serie B, the country's top two football leagues, since 2008. A lawsuit by the Italian football league and additional clubs sought a much larger payout in damages in a Milan court.
