M&A - American Airlines - investment - Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras

American Airlines plans to invest $100 million in Brazilian airline Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras. The country’s antitrust watchdog recently approved a similar investment by United Airlines, a decision that raised competition concerns from the think tank IPSConsumo (Institute for Research and Studies on Society and Consumption). The organization is also seeking to intervene in the American-Azul deal once it is formally filed.
