Data Privacy & Security - Addictive Algorithms - Litigation filed by states, school districts and individual plaintiffs over alleged addictive design (US)
Across the US and Canada, Meta Platforms, YouTube, TikTok and Snap face litigation alleging they designed their platforms to be addictive, driving a surge of mental health problems, particularly for minors. The suits have been filed in both state courts as well as the federal Northern District of California.
