Antitrust - Microsoft - Azure cloud - Probe into unfair software licensing practices (Japan)

Japan’s competition authority has opened an investigation into Microsoft to determine whether it engaged in conduct that may hinder rival cloud service providers in violation of the Antimonopoly Act. The Japan Fair Trade Commission is examining the company’s software licensing and Azure cloud computing practices to assess whether they constitute unfair trade practices that restrict competition in the cloud computing services market.
