M&A - IBM - Confluent

IBM has agreed to acquire Confluent for $31 per share representing an enterprise value of $11 billion. IBM says its acquisition of the data streaming company will enable its customers to deploy generative and agentic AI better and faster by providing trusted communication and data flow between environments, applications and APIs. IBM is traded on the New York Stock Exchange, while Confluent is traded on Nasdaq. The deal is expected to close by mid-2026.
