Antitrust - Groupama - Romanian car insurance cartel fine - EU court referral (EU)

The Romanian competition authority has fined nine insurers, as well as their national trade body, for having coordinates increases of rates for motor insurance. Groupama's legal challenge against the fine has prompted a request for preliminary ruling at the EU Court of Justice on the standard of proof needed to establish a "concerted practice" in EU law.
