M&A - Black Hills Corp. - NorthWestern Energy Group

Rapid City, South Dakota-based Black Hills Corp. agreed to acquire Sioux Falls, South Dakota-based NorthWestern Energy in an all-stock transaction valued at $3.6 billion. The deal, which will create a regional regulated electric and natural gas utility company, is expected to close in 12-15 months. Black Hills Corp. is traded on the New York Stock Exchange, while NorthWestern Energy is traded on the Nasdaq.
