Data Privacy & Security - Children's Online Privacy Code - Efforts to establish online protections for minors (Australia)

Australian lawmakers, along with privacy and online-safety watchdogs, are developing a framework to protect those aged under 18 from online risks. This is separate from the under-16 social-media ban. The Children's Privacy Code is part of the Privacy and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2024 — changes to the 1988 Privacy Act.
