Data Privacy & Security - EPIC - USDA - Litigation over DOGE access to state SNAP benefits

SNAP beneficiaries, students, the Center for Protect Democracy, the Center for Democracy and Technology, the Electronic Privacy Information Center and a group of food assistance recipients sued the United States Department of Agriculture over its attempted collection of state Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits data. The plantiffs allege that the government violated the Privacy Act of 1974, the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1980, and the E-Government Act of 2002.
