Artificial Intelligence - Naver Corp - Korean Association of Newspapers - Copyright infringement - LLM training (South Korea)
Naver has been reported to South Korea's antitrust regulator by an association of local newspapers for its unauthorized use of news content in training large language models. The Korean Association of Newspapers also alleges that the country’s top AI company infringed on the copyrights and interests of its members by refusing to disclose details about the data used for training and operating LLMs as well as by using news content in an AI-aided search service without authorization.
