Antitrust – KB Kookmin - Woori - Shinhan - Hana Bank – Allegations of collusion (South Korea)
KB Kookmin, Woori, Shinhan and Hana banks, South Korea’s four major banks, are under investigation by the Korea Fair Trade Commission over allegations they exchanged information to determine loan-to-value, or LTV, ratios, a key factor in mortgage lending. The banks are facing information exchange allegations for the first time under a new cartel provision introduced in the 2020 revision of South Korea's competition law.
