Antitrust - PG&E - Southern California Edison - San Diego Gas and Electric - Litigation over retail price of electricity (US)
A Pacific Gas and Electric consumer filed a US antitrust complaint accusing PG&E, Southern California Edison Company and San Diego Gas and Electric Company, together with the California Public Utilities Commission, of engaging in a conspiracy evidenced by the CPUC’s decision to revise the operative net energy metering tariff. According to the complaint, that resulted in a restraint of competition, raising the retail price of electricity above what would have occurred if access to the wholesale electricity markets by small qualifying facilities had occurred.
