Financial Crime, Financial Services - Ken Leech - investment adviser fraud (US)

Ken Leech, former chief investment officer of Western Asset Management Company, was charged by the US Justice Department with securities fraud, investment adviser fraud, commodity trading adviser fraud, commodities fraud and making false statements. He was also sued by the US Securities and Exchange Commission for allegedly engaging in a multi-year scheme to allocate favorable trades to certain portfolios, while allocating unfavorable trades to other portfolios, a practice known as cherry-picking.
