Intellectual Property - SEPs - Ericsson pursues multiple suits against Asustek for 4G and 5G tech patent infringement (EU)

Telecommunications giant Ericsson has filed lawsuits in two jurisdictions against Asustek and its intermediaries, alleging patent infringement for mobile communication technology essential to 4G and 5G networks. The patents in question are standard essential patents, which are critical for meeting industry standards such as 4G LTE and 5G. Ericsson has initiated one case at the Unified Patent Court division in Lisbon, and two in Milan.
