Data Privacy & Security - LinkedIn - Litigation against LinkedIn over alleged collection of health data to target ads

LinkedIn has been sued by a plaintiff in Brooklyn, New York, on allegations the company intercepted her health data to target advertising. "Unbeknownst to Plaintiff and members of the putative class, LinkedIn intentionally intercepted these sensitive and confidential communications, including the location and time of their appointment, their gender, and the type of appointment they were seeking treatment for," the suit says.
