Intellectual Property – Preliminary ruling - Austro-Mechana and AKM – Copyright management dispute (EU)

Austro-Mechana and AKM, two Austrian collective-management organizations, have challenged a decision by national authorities denying them the right to manage reproduction rights for large online platforms. The Federal Administrative Court of Austria has referred the questions to the EU Court of Justice for further clarification under the EU digital market and copyright directives.
