Antitrust - Renewed regulatory focus on digital platforms (South Korea)

The Korea Fair Trade Commission has devised and improved regulatory tools to deal with problems rising from digital platforms' market power: It created enforcement guidelines for online platforms, submitted the online platform bill for National Assembly review and updated e-commerce enforcement guidelines, among others. The regulator also expanded its ICT taskforce, dedicated to cracking down online platforms' market abuse, and renamed it Digital Markets Response Team.
