US investigations - iRhythm - DOJ, SEC - FCPA
Medical device company iRhythm Technologies self-reported to the US Department of Justice that it has begun an internal investigation into a possible violation of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. In a September 2016 US Securities and Exchange Commission filing, iRhythm said that while it was terminating a distributor earlier this year, the distributor alleged that iRhythm had violated the FCPA. The company then initiated a probe with outside counsel and notified the DOJ in August.
