M&A - Volkswagen, BASF, Mercedes-Benz and others - Planned global auto-industry JV

Germany-based carmakers Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Volkswagen, as well as eight major auto parts firms including Bosch, ZF Friedrichshafen and Schaeffler, are planning to form a joint venture that will allow applicants to exchange information about products and processes related to the automobile industry, which, according to the parties, can be freely accessed by others.
