Antitrust — Danacita — Investigation into alleged anticompetitive behavior in student loans (Indonesia)

The Indonesian Competition Commission, or KPPU, is investigating whether Indonesian fintech companies that provide student loans engaged in anticompetitive behavior to be able to charge high interest rates for student loans. Among four companies interviewed by KPPU that have disbursed nearly 450 billion rupiah ($28.8 million) in interest-bearing student loans, Danacita, the trading name of Indonesia Finance Group, dominated with 83.6 percent of the total.
