Plaintiffs filed a complaint in California state court seeking to hold Meta Platforms, Google, and TikTok responsible for causing and contributing to a mental health crisis perpetrated upon children and teenagers. According to the complaint, the companies have knowingly exploited vulnerabilities in human psychology to addict users and maximize user time and engagement.
