Antitrust – Data Privacy & Security – MyData - Data-portability initiatives (South Korea)
In March 2023, the South Korean parliament approved a bill that delivers a major update to the country’s privacy law. Among a host of changes, the bill lays down the right to data portability, which in turn paves the way for the Personal Information Protection Commission to extend the availability of the so-called MyData service to businesses of all sizes and to all industries.
