US Senators John Cornyn, a Republican from Texas, and Dianne Feinstein, a Democrat from California, plus Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence Richard Burr, a Republican from North Carolina, introduced the Foreign Investment Risk Review Modernization Act (FIRRMA) today. The bill would modernize the national security review performed by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), which analyzes mergers, acquisitions and other foreign investments in the United States for national security threats.
