Antitrust litigation - Radio Music License Committee - Global Music Rights

The Radio Music License Committee filed an antitrust complaint against performing rights organization Global Music Rights, accusing it of unlawfully monopolizing the market for "essential" copyrighted musical works. The complaint alleges that GMR strategically acquired the rights to "must-have" musical works that radio stations could not avoid playing and then asked for unreasonably high licensing fees.
