Panasonic filed patent infringement lawsuits in UK, China, Germany and the Unified Patent Court accusing Xiaomi of infringing 3G and 4G technology patents. Xiaomi filed counter claims in China as well as an antitrust complaint at the European Commission's competition directorate against Panasonic alleging abuse of dominance in licensing its standard-essential patents.
