( September 23, 2026, 16:30 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The UK prime minister’s AI adviser, Jade Leung, will step down and leave her position as chief technology officer of the government's AI Security Institute, or AISI, at the end of September due to personal circumstances, the UK government said. In a statement Wednesday it said Leung had been appointed as the AISI's vice-chair and would also take up a position as a security adviser to the UK government's AI Taskforce, and also a part-time position as a Distinguished Visiting Fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution.
