X Corp. opposes OpenAI's bid to compel sharing of Apple deal in US antitrust case
( September 17, 2026, 17:39 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: X Corp. has filed an opposition to OpenAI's motion to compel X and Apple to share details on an agreement that resolved X's US antitrust claims against Apple over the integration of ChatGPT into the iPhone ecosystem. OpenAI claims it is entitled to this extraordinary relief before it files a summary judgment motion because the settlement with Apple "will somehow contradict Plaintiffs' claim that the Apple-OpenAI agreement is 'exclusive,'" and because "the billions of dollars in damages Plaintiffs will prove at trial can be offset by any monetary payment," X said in its opposition filed in the Northern District of Texas. OpenAI has no basis for its claim that it requires access to any terms of plaintiffs' resolution with Apple before it files summary judgment, X said.See attached document....
