Indonesia, China plan working group on AI, technology transfer
( August 24, 2026, 03:43 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Indonesia and China plan to establish a working-level group to advance cooperation on artificial intelligence, technology transfer and digital industries, Indonesia’s Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs said on Friday. The group will bring together the ministry, its Chinese counterparts and industry participants from both countries to develop concrete cooperation initiatives following discussions at the countries’ first Comprehensive Strategic Dialogue hosted by Indonesia. The talks also covered critical minerals that could support microchip and semiconductor production, as well as Indonesia’s role in global AI governance.
