China vows to protect companies after reported US humanoid-robot ban

( July 29, 2026, 09:48 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said at a regular press briefing on Wednesday that it opposes what it described as the US expanding the concept of national security to suppress Chinese companies. Responding to a media inquiry about a reported US Federal Communications Commission ban on imports of humanoid robots on national-security grounds, spokesperson Mao Ning said protectionism would harm US companies and consumers rather than improve US competitiveness.
