US judge denies temporary restraining order for laid off Meta employees

Orrick declined to issue a temporary restraining order to a group of laid off Meta Platforms employees accusing the company of artificial intelligence-assisted discrimination. Without "downplaying the serious consequences of being laid off from employment, I do not find that the plaintiffs have suffered or will suffer irreparable harm," the order says.
